Entrance Exams
Admission Requirements – Non-Medical Programs
For non-medical programs at the University of Debrecen, the entrance examination includes:
- English language assessment
- Subject-specific questions, depending on the chosen program
✅ In exceptional cases, applicants with outstanding academic performance may be granted direct admission to the first year.
⚠️ Applicants whose academic records or entrance exam performance are not sufficient for direct entry into a Bachelor’s program may be offered admission to the Foundation Program.
Admission Requirements – Medical & Health Science Programs
An entrance examination is mandatory for applicants to the following programs:
- Basic Medicine Course (BMC)
- Medicine
- Dentistry
- Pharmacy
Structure of the Entrance Exam
The exam consists of two parts:
- Written Test(50 minutes each):
- Biology(compulsory)
- Chemistry or Physics(applicant’s choice)
The test includes multiple-choice questions, definitions, and basic calculations.
- Oral Examination:
- Conducted inBiology
- AndChemistry or Physics (same subject as chosen for the written exam)
Entrance Interview – Health & Social Science Programs
An entrance interview is compulsory for applicants to the following degree programs:
Bachelor’s Programs:
- BSc in Physiotherapy
- BSc in Public Health
- BSc in Nursing
- BSc in Dietetics
Master’s Programs:
- MSc in Public Health
- MSc in Molecular Biology
- MSc in Complex Rehabilitation
- MSc in Health Social Work
- MA in Social Work and Social Economy
